Changing colors and the like

Your browser is cacheing the data. Right click in a blank area of the page and then click "refresh". Your new colors should appear. There is nothing wrong with the themes in XForums.

No admin section and no forum page

I had a great deal of difficulty with the 1.5 install as well. Try to use 1.8.1....you should be very happy with the changes.

Another Problem starting XForum

1.8.1 works pretty flawlessly. remove 1.5 completely and re-install 1.8.1...worked for me.

Access for one group

Basically: Make a "secret" group and place the users that you wish to access the forum, in that group. Next, create the "secret" forum. Then go back into your "new Forums" view and click on "More options"...

Ross, Why dont you just set your admin email address to point to a distribution list for your admins? Thats the easy way around it.

If you are using 1.8.1 you can use the "Today Messages" link at the top of your forum to view all new posts for the day.

I dont know about 1.7 but I know in 1.8.1 that you can just setup a censor for the word "http://" and set the replacement word as "h**p://" or the same for "www" -> "w*w" It's under "Control Panel" then...

HELP!!!!

Its is possible, but not very likely. I dont know of anyone who got Postnuke or PHPnuke installed in a windows server.

Problems Immediatly after install

How did you go about the install? Did you make sure that you initialized XForum through the "modules" section of postnuke before "installing" Xfoums?
